After a week with my new machine, I wanted to report how please I am with this coffee maker. I use a Keurig brewer at the office and really enjoy the single cup coffee concept, but hate the idea of all the trash from k-cups. I was thrilled to hear that this brewer uses pods that can go in the compost. I like that its made with stainless steel too - face plate and drip tray are solid stainless and they look great. I was prepared for the coffee to be a bit of a sacrifice though compared to k-cups because the pods cost a little less. Was I wrong! The coffee from this machine blows Keurig out of the water. Its hotter, bolder and I think it even brews a little faster (haven't timed that, but it seems like it). Now, when I drink from the Keurig at work, it always tastes a little plasticky to me - don't know if its the cups or the plastic hot water tank. Either way, I'm lovin' my pods at home and highly recommend this brewer (Amazon's got it for a great price too).
